 What I Have Been Up To: Being a late bloomer and extremely shy at West Aurora, I spent the last 35 years trying everything out in Southern California.  Was a flight attendant for 9 months (ugh!) and quit to go back to school.  Worked in retail for over 20 years (supervisor), QA Audits in aircraft manufacturing 2 years (McDonnell Douglas), and sang professionally for 10 years.  Can you picture me in a 6 piece disco band?  There were jazz trios, too.  So, how about another career change?  For whatever reason, "kids" just were not on the agenda.  Maybe next time around. Blooming quite late, I completed an MBA in 2007.   Presently I am the Safety Coordinator in the Risk Management department of a $105M medical group in CA.  I run their safety program and manage litigation scheduling for 90 physicians. Single for quite a few years, whatever free time I have is spent playing golf, dancing, fixing up the house, entertaining friends, gardening and chasing after my two small pup -monsters.  I might even get to Argentina for a week of tango lessons!   HIghly diversified, I am always looking for new things to do and new people to meet.

What I Have Been Up To: Let me see, I am finishing up writing a chapter in a technical book on the testing and analysis of phenolic resins. I manage a analytical chemistry group where we utilize NMR, LC-MS, TOF-MS, SEM/x-Ray, GC-MS, FTIR etc. I have done some travelling to Argentina, Ecuador, Peru, and a few years ago through Central America.  Some of it recreational and others on medical mission trips.  I travel frequently to our cabin in the North Georgia Mountains to enjoy nature.  I have 4 children and one grandchild and another (grandchild) on the way.  I have been married for 36+ years.  I guess that about covers it.  Although I have not been in contact with any of you, I hope to renew some old memories with all of you.

What I Have Been Up To: Like many of you, my lifelong joy will always be Mike(33) and Dan(32). I've enjoyed landscaping since 1978, but my PASSION is NCAA football & basketball. On gamedays I only talk to 3 people ...my sons and my brother, Larry!  I've lived in TX for 30yrs and was a teacher for 10yrs. From '71 to '75, playing golf showed me I could count past 100 while having fun and making new friends. From '75 to '88, playing tennis and winning USTA tournaments showed me that hating gym class had nothing to do with loving sports. I've started playing golf again. However, it's clear that in this lifetime I may never be considered a golfer! I'm also singing again in a choir. Fabulous voices but their focus is having fun performing and singing music the audience will love. In Oct '04 Dad died (Mom passed in '98), my 17yr old dog died, and I enterred the ranks of divorced baby boomers. No complaints. Everyone our age is dealing with life's twists and turns.  This summer I bec  ame a mother-in-law...yippee! Dan married the girl of my dreams for him. We're all hoping that Mike knows his sweetie is The One for him.  Sooooo...I'm focusing on living happily ever after and hope all of you are too!  See you in September.
